Faculty Member's Presumptive Positive Test for COVID-19
A faculty member in the Rueckert-Hartman College for Health Professions has received a presumptive positive test for COVID-19 and is recovering at home. A final test result will be available in a few days.
The faculty member was last on campus in Claver Hall on Thursday, March 12, and was symptomatic two days later. Anyone who was in close contact with the faculty member has been contacted and advised to take the necessary precautions to prevent the possible spread.
Anyone who becomes symptomatic should immediately self-isolate. If symptoms are severe or progress in severity, you should be in contact with your health care provider (students may contact Student Health Services at 303-458-3558) who can assist in determining if testing for COVID-19 is needed.
Information about any future positive test will be posted on www.RegisUpdates.com as soon as its confirmed, and anyone who is identified as being in close contact with someone who tests positive will be personally notified. We won’t, however, be able to report by mass email every potential exposure in our Regis community. Everyone should continue to take the necessary steps to avoid exposure and spread.
