Regis to end indoor mask requirement March 14

Regis University will continue to encourage indoor face coverings and end its requirement for faculty, staff, students and guests to wear masks on March 14. The requirement will expire one week after Spring Break ends and brings people back to campus from around the country.

People who are unvaccinated or immunocompromised are strongly encouraged to continue to mask indoors on campus in accordance to the CDC guidelines. Vaccine and booster requirements remain in place.

Masks also will continue to be required for health care facilities on campus, including the Student Health Services and RegisCares clinic. RHCHP students doing practicums, clinical simulation, and skills labs and faculty and staff teaching in these settings will still be required to wear masks, as they would in any healthcare setting.

The campus positivity rate has dropped below 1% as cases continue to decline in the region. The University will continue to monitor public health reports and guidance, and will respond accordingly if conditions unfortunately reverse the current trend.

Thank you again for your perseverance, and for practicing the Jesuit principle of cura personalis. This pandemic has been long and very difficult on many. The sense of community and demonstrated sincere care for each other has been fulfilling and is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
