Faculty and Staff Spring Reading Group
Together the First Year Experience (FYE) and Regis College Dean's Office are sponsoring a set of Spring reading groups to come together in the spirit of care for our common home. Integral Ecology will be part of the FYE curriculum in Fall of 2025, so time and space is needed to come to a shared understanding of what this means.
Two texts will be considered, together, by faculty and staff before first-year students get their copy come Fall. Fresh Banana Leaves: Healing Indigenous Landscapes (2022) by Dr. Jessica Hernandez is the Common Read book for 2025-2026. You should have received a copy of this book! But if not, your copy is waiting for you in Loyola Hall, Suite 1C. Laudato Si' (2015) by Pope Francis is a widely available encyclical that can also be purchased as a short book.
Two reading groups will be available for both books throughout the month of April.
