A Letter from Dr. Karen Riley
Colleagues,
It was so good to see so many folks at the 'welcome back to campus' event on last week! Thank you to everyone who made this event possible. A special shout out to Sandy Wojciehoski, Kristi Gonsalves-McCabe, Dr. Liz Whitmore, Fredricka Brown, Paula Colorosa, and all the volunteers for their efforts. An additional thank you to the departments of Athletics, Instructional Design & Technology, Human Resources, Admissions and Marketing and Communication for the swag. It is so nice to connect in person, even for a few minutes during this very busy week as we began a new academic year.
A special thank you to Dr. Nicki Gonzales, Stephanie Colunga-Montoya and Sherri Montagne for all of their hard work in putting together the Annual Inclusive Excellence Workshop. The speakers were impressive. We have a great deal of work to do in this space and are so grateful for the opportunity to continue to learn and grow individually and as a community.
Several people have requested information about the presentation I gave at that State of the University address. An Executive Summary will be linked in the next edition of the Provost's Digest.
Last week we welcomed our newest traditional students, recognizing the trust they and their families have placed in us. Seeing the students and their families across the campus reminds us of our mission and the great privilege that we have in being a part of their individual and collective journeys. They give us hope for the future.
I hope you enjoy this latest edition of the Provost's Digest, which highlights the work of our Center for Scholarship and Research Engagement. Please continue to send your feedback to provost@regis.edu.
Thank you, again, for all that you do, day in and day out, to support our students and contribute to their thriving.
Gratefully,
Karen
