Learn about Jesuit Higher Education: A Journal

Did you know Regis hosts the only American peer-reviewed scholarly journal on Jesuit higher education? And that Regis authors from a wide variety of disciplines have published their scholarship in the journal? Check out Jesuit Higher Education: A Journal.

Hosted by Regis and published with technical and editorial support of the Dayton Memorial Library, Jesuit Higher Education: A Journal (JHE) is a scholarly, peer-reviewed, open access, online journal focused on the development, advancement, and critique of higher education in the Jesuit tradition. We welcome submissions on the scholarship and practice of Ignatian pedagogy in any academic disciplinary or interdisciplinary context as well as how the Jesuit mission is infused in all aspects of higher education, including student life, experiential learning, and other co-curricular activities.

Now in its 10th volume, JHE publishes two issues a year in May and December. Since the journal launched in 2012, we have reached a global audience in 170 countries, with roughly two-thirds of readership in the United States. Likewise, journal authors primarily come from AJCU institutions, but also from Colombia, Mexico, Ecuador, England, Italy, Indonesia and Japan. Reading the journal is a great way to delve into recent scholarship and praxis of Jesuit higher ed from a variety of disciplines, and publishing with the journal allows you to reach a broad national and international audience in Jesuit education.
