As part of the Music Department’s Crowded Table project, our Regis choir gave a lunch time concert for SOS residents on Friday, Oct. 22. About 20 residents were present and a special lunch was provided by Mission. The singers plan to return to SOS before Christmas for caroling. The Music Department is on track to raise $1,000 for meals for SOS!
Chad Weber, Accommodations Coordinator for Student Disability Services & University Testing, was nominated for the Shining Stars of Disability Employment Award by a student. The nomination states: “Speaking with him is always a pleasure because he not only goes above and beyond to ensure students can have a successful academic career; he also is willing to lend an ear to difficult conversations. He ensures everyone feels heard and understood...Chad has in a manner helped me grow in such a way that I have tools to help me be successful in life and in my career.”
Congratulations to Dr. Don Lindley and all those involved in the highly successful Criminology Speaker Series. It brought many people together and to the Regis campus—including students from other colleges, area high schools, law enforcement officials and community members.
Regis’ Division of Education in Regis College has partnered with Little Dreamers, a school in Uganda, to help create a curriculum that augments traditional education with life skills. The comprehensive curriculum enables children to acquire skills like communication, confidence, problem solving, collaboration and teamwork, among others. The aim is to provide a holistic education that prepares children for the future. Many thanks to Dr. Kanh Le, Dr. Keno Nagasa and all those involved in this project!
