Lightning Strike Impact and Progress

Dear Students, Faculty and Staff,

Last week the Northwest Campus experienced a significant cloud to ground lightning storm. During that storm we found out the next day that our Energy Management Systems (Controller) experienced a power surge from a lightning strike. This strike knocked out over 80% of our controls affecting facility temperature sets. We are in the process over, the last four days, on resetting the system. The strike being in the summer time has some spaces in unoccupied setbacks. If you are returning to the campus and find your spaces very warm please contact Physical Plant at ext. 4944 and we will respond accordingly. Please stay cool everyone both mentally and physically.
