Dayton Memorial Library to host shoe drive
The Dayton Memorial Library is hosting a shoe drive in collaboration with Soles4Souls Sept. 10 through Oct. 10. As part of the drive, organizers are accepting shoes of all types, from high heels to winter boots.
For 12 pairs or less, please drop them at the Dayton Memorial Library in the red and blue boxes.
For more than 12 pairs, please schedule a drop-off at 5158 Parfet St. Unit #5 Wheat Ridge, Colorado 80033.
Don’t have a location close to you? See how to ship for free through Zappos.
Please tie or rubber band the pair together before dropping it in the boxes in the library, located at 3333 Regis Blvd. Denver, CO 80221. Soles4Souls also accepts single shoes.
If you would like a tax receipt, visit the Soles4Souls website.
The gently worn shoes you collect will go to help entrepreneurs in places like Haiti, Nicaragua, Honduras and Moldova create sustainable income for themselves! The sale of just one pair of shoes can provide five meals for a family in Haiti.
