Crabapples are Ripe and Ready for Picking!
There are many crabapple trees on campus, and you are free to pick as many as you can! Did you know that the difference between a crabapple and an apple is just size? Under two inches is considered a crabapple.
Crabapples are great for making jelly and fruit crisps! They can be spiced, pickled and canned! Crabapples freeze well so their intense “appliness” can be enjoyed all winter long!
Enjoy picking, canning and making delicious desserts while helping to keep our campus clean and beautiful! When you pick the crabapples, it keeps them from falling on the ground and going to waste, so pick away!
Crabapple trees are designated with pink circles on the Crabapple Map.
