It’s time to register for Microsoft Multifactor Authentication (MFA)
To best secure and protect Regis’ IT network, Regis will be securing all of our systems with additional Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
This will reinforce our existing MFA called Duo to access the Learning Management System (WorldClass), Virtual Desktops and Workday systems.
This extra layer of protection will require students, faculty and staff to register and use Microsoft MFA to access all other RegisNet (anything you use your @Regis.edu account for) systems.
HOW: You can either download and use the app provided by Microsoft, or you can use the Microsoft text option. It’s up to you, as long as you register for Microsoft MFA before the student deadline 12/12/22. If you don’t register for Microsoft MFA by 12/12/22, you won’t be able to access RegisNet services until you register. Faculty, staff and students, please complete the process as soon as possible. After you register you will have access to all your RegisNet systems again.
If you need additional assistance after you have tried to register, please reference the resources listed below:
FAQ:
- Q: What happens if I don’t register for Microsoft MFA by the student deadline of 12/12/22?
- A: You won’t be able to log in to the systems that require Microsoft MFA until you complete setting it up. Once you complete the registration process, you’ll be good to go.
- Q: Do I still need to use DUO?
- A: Yes. For the time being, you will still be using DUO for the systems that require it today.
- Q: Do I have to download the app?
- A: No. The app is recommended by Regis, and it may be more convenient in the longer term, but the text option is fine.
