Hear Pharmacy Dean Shah's interview on CPR News
Samit Shah, professor and dean of the School of Pharmacy, recently sat down with CPR News to discuss pharmacogenomics, the study of how an individual’s genetic make-up influences their response to medication. Shah released a new book Pharmacogenomics: A Primer for Clinicians, which intends to move the study from the classroom into clinical settings on a widespread basis. The interview starts just after the 15-minute mark.

An article by Dr. Bianca Calderon, Pharmacy and Jacqueline Flores (PharmD candidate) was published in the Denver Post’s YourHub section. “New Oral Treatments Available for COVID-19” discusses Paxlovidand Molnupiravir, two new treatments to fight COVID-19. Read more here.
The School of Pharmacy welcomed first-year Doctor of Pharmacy students in a drive-by white coat ceremony in January. Thanks to the School of Pharmacy staff and faculty for creating this memorable event.
School of Nursing alumna finds nursing pin in rubble
Annica Dino reached out to Regis to let us know that she miraculously found her Regis Nursing pin in the rubble after losing her home in the Marshall Fire. She saw it as a sign to keep going. We share this with Annica’s permission and offer our thoughts of compassion to everyone who was affected. Bucket List Community Caféf eatured our Regis nursing program in a recent article. It highlights that 300 new nurses will be ready to provide reinforcements for the weary health care world.
