Regis enhances 911 service on campus
In collaboration with Information Technology Services, Regis Campus Safety has partnered with 911 Inform to provide enhanced 911 service on campus. These features are intended to make calling 911 more intuitive and to provide facility staff and emergency responders with necessary information.
When 911 is called from either a cell phone or a landline on any of the Regis campuses, in addition to notifying the police agency with jurisdiction in that area, it will now also advise Campus Safety, and give the location from which the call was placed. The changes are a requirement of Kari’s Law and the Ray Baum Act, federal statutes that require all multi-line phone systems in the United States to provide extra safety features.
