Advising Update: EAB Navigate and Retention

There are several benefits to documenting our advising and student support work in EAB’s Navigate System. Creating notes and appointment records provides more robust data on which student success strategies pay off. Issuing early alerts enables faculty and staff to make timely interventions. Documenting student engagement facilitates support from other campus departments. And using the management system provides an easily accessible history for future advisors and Regis staff to continue supporting students.

An analysis of EAB Navigate engagement and reenrollment data showed that students with one or more Fall appointments documented in Navigate reenrolled at a 2.1% higher rate than the overall cohort. These gains were even greater for Latinx/Hispanic students, at +3.1%. In short, the more we can leverage Navigate’s benefits, the more students will succeed at Regis.
