Save the Date for Chester Alter Scholar Keynote Address
A world-renowned author with personal ties to the Denver community, Dr. Kristen Iversen will be visiting Regis to deliver a keynote address inspired by her award-winning book, Full Body Burden: Growing Up in the Nuclear Shadow of Rocky Flats, which details her experience being raised near “the most contaminated site in America.” The keynote will be followed by an interdisciplinary panel, exploring scientific, public health, and personal perspectives on the nuclear legacy of Rocky Flats. The keynote and panel will be hosted at 6 p.m. April 4 in the Mountain View Room.
In addition, on April 5, Dr. Iversen will offer a writing workshop to any interested students and faculty on the topic of literary nonfiction and fiction, creative writing and social change/action, and creative writing and the environment.
These events are being co-hosted by the Provost’s Office and the Sustainable Economic and Enterprise Development (SEED) Institute in the Anderson College of Business and Computing. More details to come.
