Join Voices from the Frontline
Join Denver District Attorney Beth McCann at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, as she kicks off an afternoon series of guest speakers in the criminology class of Associate Prof. Amin Asfari, Ph.D.
All students, faculty and staff are invited to attend the series, where they will hear from professionals working on the frontlines of the criminal justice system, who will offer valuable insights into the inner workings of that system.
Not only will you gain a deeper understanding of the criminal justice system, you'll also have the opportunity to network with professionals in several areas of the field and learn about internships and job opportunities.
Denver’s top prosecutor will launch the series; other speakers will include representatives from:
- Jan. 24: Denver District Attorney Beth McCann, St. Peter Claver, S.J., Hall, Room #315
- Jan. 31: the Lakewood Police Department, Loyola Hall, Room #22
- Feb. 7: Second Chance Center of Colorado, which works with formerly incarcerated people to provide the resources to help them become successful in society, Loyola Hall, Room #22
- March 9: the Denver Police Department, Loyola Hall, Room #22
- March 16: Colorado Judicial Courts Division of Probation Services, Loyola Hall, Room #22
