Cold Weather Gear Needed Immediately
Long-time Regis/RHCHP Service Learning and Global Health Pathway community partner, Haven of Hope, needs our immediate help! With the recent influx of migrants and asylum seekers, in addition to the increase of unhoused community members accessing services, Haven of Hope is facing unprecedented demand for winter clothing. Please donate cold weather gear to be distributed to their guests experiencing homelessness.
Donations may be dropped off at the Rueckert-Hartman’s Dean’s office, Peter Claver Hall 332, between now and Friday, Nov. 17. Please deposit the items into the boxes provided.
Gear is needed for men, women, and children. All items should be clean/freshly laundered and in like-new or gently used condition. New items would be wonderful as well. (Items in poor condition cannot be accepted and will be thrown away.)
Items requested include:
- Coats
- Sweaters/Fleece
- Gloves/Mittens
- Winter Hats
- Winter weight socks (must be new!)
- Scarves
For questions, please contact Cheryl Schwartz, Senior Director RHCHP Service Learning and Global Health.
