ITS shares updates and tips for printing and scanning
Printing and Scanning:
Regis University provides printing and scanning options for all students, faculty and staff. We recently switched our service provider, and now have the most up-to-date hardware, and a simpler process for registering for print access.
Printing a document no longer requires the user to decide which specific printer to use in a specific location. Instead, your print is initially sent to a secure holding spot within our printing network. You can then choose where and when to pick up your prints, just by stopping at any nearby printer.
Prints are available in full color or black and white, and each printer is capable of printing both. The print option on your computer will usually default to black and white printing, so be sure to adjust the options on the print pop-up you’ll receive when sending a document to print if you intend to change it to color. Consider your options and needs when opting into color printing, as it’s more demanding on resources and costs a little more than the standard monochrome option.
Helpful Tip: Scanning is a great way to obtain a digital version of a paper document. Place your original document onto a glass surface, similar to those used in photocopiers, to digitize it. Each printer has a built-in touchscreen, and you can pick from different options such as scan resolution, which dictates the image clarity) or directions for scanning a double-sided document.
Now your scanned document is ready to be sent directly to your Regis email account, or to your Regis OneDrive cloud storage which could maybe – just maybe – mean one less paper document competing for space on your desk, and help to save one more resource!
Print support is provided by the ITS Help Center, at services.regis.edu or by contacting 303-458-4050. The print team has a physical location at Regis Square, and are available to help with additional items such as non-standard print options, printing supplies and even domestic and international postage.
