Summer 2024 Construction Projects
The Physical Plant has a very busy summer planned to complete many deferred maintenance projects and we would like to make you aware.
On average the University invests around $2M annually to update our facility infrastructure which extends the life cycle of the University’s assets. The timeline is tight since most work on the following projects needs to be completed while resident students are away.
- Replacement of damaged sidewalks and bollards across campus
- Installation of auto lockdown system in Loyola Hall
- Boilers in DeSmet Hall will be upgraded
- Installation of refrigerant monitors for our chiller system in DeSmet Hall
- Replacement of old failing windows in Main Hall
- The second phase of the mansard roof replacement on Main Hall
- Installation of a new hot water system in the Student Center
- Replacement of showers in West Hall
- Replacement of HVAC control systems in the Science building
- Repair roof to main electrical room in DeSmet Hall
- Extend roof guard roof warranties for most roofs on the Northwest Denver campus
- Repair and restripe parking lot surfaces
- Installation of additional EV charging stations
- The refreshing of Claver Hall’s main entrances will begin with replacing flooring
As you will notice, most of the projects planned for this summer are critical and your patience as the Physical Plant completes these projects is appreciated.
