Update on Housing Options for Remainder of Semester

Hello Residential Rangers,

As you may have read, the University has announced its plan to continue online learning for the remainder of the semester. Meeting the needs of our residential students and their families and supporters through this unprecedented time continues to be a priority for us.  We know that some of you are still living on-campus while many of you have left — some with your belongings and some without them.  All of you have questions about how to proceed moving forward. The University has come up with the following options to assist you.

All residential students may select from the following options:

Option 1: Remain in Regis housing for the remainder of the semester. Students who remain in Regis housing will receive a refund on your Spring 2020 meal plan equivalent to 31.25% of the remaining pro-rated cost of the meal plan selected*.  If you sign up for a meal plan for Fall 2020, you will receive a 15% discount on the selected meal plan.

Option 2: Vacate Regis housing on or before March 30th, 2020 and receive a pro-rated credit of the unused housing between March 30th and May 2nd. plus 5% discount applied to your Fall 2020 housing costs. Students who select Option 2 also will receive a refund on your Spring 2020 meal plan equivalent to 31.25% of the remaining pro-rated cost of the meal plan selected. If you sign up for a meal plan for Fall 2020, you will receive a 15% discount on the selected meal plan.

Option 3: Vacate Regis housing on or before March 30th, 2020 and receive a pro-rated refund of the unused housing between March 30th and May 2nd. Students who select Option 3 will also receive a refund on your Spring 2020 meal plan equivalent to 31.25% of the remaining pro-rated cost of the meal plan selected. If you sign up for a meal plan for Fall 2020, you will receive a 15% discount on the selected meal plan.

Students are required to inform the University of their intentions to either vacate or remain in residence as soon as possible, but no later than Monday, March 30th at 12 noon. Students should notify us of their plans by completing this online form.

Students Choosing Option #1

Students who choose Option #1 and request to remain in Regis housing will be asked to move into West Hall on March 31st.  You will be provided a single occupancy room at no additional cost.  If a room in West Hall is not sufficient to meet your needs, other halls will be made available at the discretion of the University. If you are staying in Regis Housing and already live in West Hall, you will be allowed to remain there; however, students currently living in a double room will be asked to move into a single room.

It is important to note that services will be limited, and while dining will remain open it will not be at full service.  You can expect that the West kitchen will be cleaned more frequently, and you can use this space.

Students choosing to remain on campus should understand that all Regis University policies remain in effect, and those found to be in violation of University policy and/or guidelines outlined by local health officials regarding social distancing, self-isolation, or similar directives will be subject to review by Community Standards & Care and may face sanctions up to and including removal from housing, suspension, and expulsion from the University.
