Video message from President Fitzgibbons

Greetings from Jesuit House at Regis University, where I am following State and City directives to shelter in place.  Despite social distancing, please be assured that I hold you closer than ever in my daily thoughts and prayers.  Above all, I pray for your safety and your health and well-being.

Our migration to 100 percent virtual learning has been a smooth one.  Gratefully, at any given time, 50 percent of our courses at Regis University are delivered virtually.  We do this well.

We are not closed.  We have resident students who have chosen to remain on campus.  We have essential services available for these and for all of our current and prospective students.

We are, in fact, open.  We are open to deliver the distinctive education that our faculty demand and our students deserve.  We are open to the needs of our Regis University community and our local and global neighbors.

Our health care faculty and students are on the front lines to provide cutting edge, compassionate care.  Our ministry team and religious studies faculty are connecting us through new ways to pray together during this unparalleled Lenten season.  Our community is actively discovering ways to help the newly vulnerable and marginalized in this pandemic threat.

None of us know what the world will look like when the storm passes.  We know it will be different.  Stay connected.  Stay safe.  Stay Regis Resilient.  And remember, sometimes God sends a storm to show he is the true and only shelter.

Gratefully,
