Instructional Design and Technology Updates

Congratulations to the charter members of the Regis Teaching Excellence Network (RTEN)!

These seven faculty were accepted into the Design-Based Research Project – the first RTEN sponsored opportunity - Lisa Chappell, Janeen Galligan, Deb Roybal, Allyson Spence, Lea Stenerson, Kristopher Voss, and Emily Wang. They joined other faculty to hear from Dr. Karen Riley regarding the purpose of RTEN. Dr. Laura Turchi of Arizona State University conducted an interactive presentation regarding Design-Based Research. The seven then met with Laura to discuss their goals for the DBR Project and organizing their work as a collaborative.

In the months to come, learnings from their work will be shared within Regis as well as externally.

The Yellowdig Pilot Phase II has begun. Eleven faculty have volunteered to pioneer the use of this innovative platform within their courses this spring. From their efforts we learn more about the impact of this new paradigm of course learning discussion on students’ learning and sense of connectedness. Faculty from all three colleges are participating. There will be more opportunities to participate next summer and fall.
