Research, Scholarship and Creative Works

Alyse Knorr, Associate Professor of English and faculty in the Women’s and Gender Studies program, recently published a gender-focused poem in the prestigious Poetry Magazine as well as scholarship-focused articles (e.g., "Elizabeth Bishop's Queer Lists" in Prose Studies). She also co-produces a women’s and queer history podcast called "Sweetbitter," which has risen to the top 1% of listenership for podcasts, averaging 5,000 downloads per episode. It has been featured on Apple Podcast's banner and "New and Noteworthy," Stitcher's "Women in Pop Culture and Indie Podcast Picks" and PocketCast's "Remarkable Women" lists. They have hosted two live events, including one co-sponsored by Regis and featuring Regis classicist Dr. Ian Oliver as a panelist.  She also wrote a sea shanty about pirates that has gone viral on TikTok with 1.8 million views!

Travis Ables, long serving Affiliate Faculty in Religious Studies in Regis College, just published “The Body of the Cross” with Fordham Press.
