Diversity and Inclusion Ambassador program launches

The Diversity and Inclusion Ambassador program kicked off this year with the hiring of four student ambassadors.  It is a new program initiative to advance diversity and inclusion awareness and action across campus through peer education.

DIAs are change agents who come together to promote the mission and vision of the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusive Excellence by supporting the office’s programs, services, and initiatives. Ambassadors will have multiple opportunities to develop and hone foundational leadership skills, while participating in D/I trainings, design and programming. Ambassadors will also serve as liaisons to various university administrators, university committees and student organizations.

DIA Mission Statement

As Diversity and Inclusion Ambassadors (DIA), we seek to bridge the gap between dialogue and action through peer-education and systemic change. Together we will foster a campus culture rich in advocacy, inclusion, intersectionality, resiliency, and relationships.
