Campus Safety Update for Sept. 7

To All Students:
Regis University is providing support and resources following the lockdown incident that took place on the evening of September 6, 2022. We understand that an event such as this can bring about different emotions and cause distress. Please know your well-being and safety is the top priority for the university and we are all here to provide additional support that you may need. We want to thank all students for remaining calm and cooperating with campus safety and law enforcement throughout the process.

Below is a list of resources and services for anyone needing assistance.

The University’s Office of Counseling and Personal Development (OCPD) is offering walk-in hours for those in need of counseling. All services are free of charge and confidential to eligible students. OCPD also has a resource library for handling distressing events. We are grateful for the quick response from our local law enforcement agency. Denver Police Department along with University Campus Safety did have review security footage which showed no weapon was involved.

OCPD is located in Coors Center Room 114.
You can call 303.458.3507 or email perscoun@regis.edu to connect with someone. For additional support you may also call Protocall's number: 855-876-6885.

After hours and on weekends, their phones are answered by mental health professionals to assist students 24/7.

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact Colorado Crisis Services at 844-493-8255, text "TALK" to 38255 or call 911.
