The Grand Old Christmas Tree Near Carroll Hall To Be Taken Down

With great sadness, beginning at 7 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27, the huge evergreen in “the quad” will be taken down.

The grand old tree has stood proudly in the Boettcher Commons for decades and has been decorated as the official Regis University Christmas tree for over thirty years. Every effort has been made to save the tree, but despite special treatment the past few years, the tree is coming to the end of its life.

The area will be blocked with caution tape and cones to provide the safest possible environment and work should be finished tomorrow afternoon.

Physical Plant is planning to replace the tree next Spring. We apologize for any inconvenience and the Physical Plant thanks you for giving workers the space they need.
