Consider joining a Regis band

Are you a musician? Consider joining one of the the Regis University Bands!

Regis University Bands are open to all Regis University faculty and community members. There are no fees or costs. All community band members must make at least 75 percent of all rehearsals in order to participate.

Regis has two bands to choose from. Community members of all abilities are encouraged to join any of these bands offered from the Music Program. Current community member ages vary from 15 to 85.

The Regis University Concert Jazz Ensemble usually looks for saxophone, trumpet, trombone, guitar, bass and drum set players, but we do have 2 saxophone, 1 trumpet, 2 trombone, 1 guitar and 1 bass (Regis University students) registered already. No audition is required, but enrollment is limited. This band rehearses from 4:45 until 7:15pm, on Wednesdays, in Claver Hall, Room 317 (Regis University, Just North of 50th Ave. and Lowell Blvd, Parking Lot 4).

The Regis University Concert Band is open to musicians of all abilities who play flute, oboe, bassoon, clarinet, bass clarinet, alto sax, tenor sax, baritone sax, trumpet, French horn, trombone, baritone horn, euphonium, tuba, percussion and string bass. We do have 1 flute, 1 alto sax, 1 French horn, and 2 trombones (Regis University students) registered already, however, enrollment is not limited. Our Regis Band requires no audition. The 4:45-7:15pm rehearsals take place on Thursdays, on the Claver Recital Hall stage (Regis University, Just N. of 50th Ave. and Lowell Blvd, Parking Lot 4).

Rehearsals for both bands are each week, from Thursday, Aug. 24, through concerts on Wednesday, Nov. 15 (Concert Jazz Ensemble), and Thursday, Nov. 30 (Concert Band), except for November 23 (Thanksgiving).

Please confirm back to me if you would like to participate this fall. Let Director of Bands Ed Cannava know in which band(s) you would like to perform, and on what instrument(s). Please email ecannava@regis.edu if you have any questions.
