Office of Mission Offers Spots for Pilgrimage

Regis will host a pilgrimage through Spain “In the Footsteps of Saint Ignatius and the Early Jesuits” from Feb. 29-March 10, 2024. A pilgrimage is a spiritual journey of faith and companionship with other pilgrims, and in this spirit, we’ve created a prayerful and retreat-like experience. Fr. Kevin Burke, SJ and Dr. Eileen Burke Sullivan will lead this journey that begins in the Basque country of northern Spain, with visits to the Loyola Castle and Basilica, the Sanctuary at Arantzazu, Montserrat Abbey, the Cave and Jesuit Retreat Center at Manresa, and various sites in and near Barcelona. Daily Mass will be celebrated and pilgrims will meet in small groups for prayer and reflection at the end of each day.

Pilgrimage participants will participate in a virtual learning community prior to the trip to deepen understanding of the life of Ignatius and to grow in understanding of Ignatian Spirituality.

The Mission Office views this opportunity as an investment in developing mission leaders at the university. The cost of the trip is funded by a generous donor and several scholarships will be granted to qualified applicants. Participants will be asked to contribute $200 to cover administrative fees. There are also a limited number of full pay spots available; please contact Mary McManus at mmcmanus@regis.edu for more details.

Application deadline is Nov. 20; Apply here.
