How to Take Care of Each Other in Times of Struggle
How can we show care to each other during difficult times? Being aware of social injustices can cause existential and mental pain; comes with a burden; and may impede a flourishing life. However, this is not a reason to despair. During times of oppression, resisters must also prioritize well-being. One way to do this is by extending what Dr. Myisha Cherry refers to as solidarity care. In this talk, Dr. Cherry will offer pragmatic ways in which one can extend solidarity care to others along with insights from her acclaimed books The Case for Rage and Failures of Forgiveness.
