  • I’m happy to announce a new tradition coming this January, a Spring Convocation the week of January 20th to welcome the new year and to live into the value of being people in service of and with others. Convocation will begin with our awarding of the inaugural Julia Greeley Service Award and lecture, and will follow with a week of opportunities to engage in service opportunities both on campus and in surrounding communities. I hope everyone will find space to engage, and that faculty will find ways to integrate the spirit of the week into their courses (i.e. incentivize students!). More information to come.

  • Teaching and Learning Excellence has provided important course preparation dates to help you get ready for the upcoming Spring semester. Please mark your calendars to ensure all course materials are organized and accessible to students on WorldClass by Jan. 10. Additionally, two professional development opportunities are available on Dec. 10:
    • Yellowdig Webinar: Revolutionizing Classroom Conversations 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
    • D2L Webinar: Creating Interactive Courses With Ease 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Both webinars are free! Visit the Teaching and Learning Excellence SharePoint site to register and find a variety of other helpful resources.

  • Faculty and staff who teach, advise, or otherwise work directly with undergraduate students at Regis University are invited to apply to participate in a four-day learning community in May 2025 (with a one-day follow up in August). This learning community will support faculty and staff as they deepen their understanding of vocational exploration and discernment and become better equipped to support students as they seek out meaningful work in their lives and become workplace-ready – all in the context of HSI servingness, community-engagement, and equitable high-impact experiential learning practices.  Please see this flyer (with a link to apply) to learn more.

  • There will be an HSI Community Forum on Dec. 13 from 1:30-3 p.m. in the Mountain View Room. Please join us for an interactive opportunity to learn about what we have been doing and to discuss various ways to further live into our HSI identity.
