Upcoming Silent Retreat in Sedalia
The UCS Province of the Society of Jesus is offering the opportunity for employees at its Jesuit apostolates to go on a silent retreat at Sacred Heart Jesuit Retreat House in Sedalia, CO, during the week of July 22-28, 2025, with flexible options for duration of stay (1-6 nights).
WHY A SILENT RETREAT?
A silent retreat allows us to go deep within ourselves, away from the usual distractions and noise of the world. Retreatants are invited to maintain a sense of quiet, which also honors the work of other retreatants who are keeping silence and doing their own inner work. It can be said that "silence is a gift we give to one another." This experience is not intended to be a vacation or merely an escape from the world. Retreatants will be invited to meet with a spiritual director at least once to help you structure the time and to receive the most from this experience. REGISTRATION and COST:
Regis colleagues may choose up to 6 nights in the July 22-28 window. The total cost of the retreat is $140 per night. The Province will subsidize the cost of your retreat at $90 per night, and the Regis Office of Mission will cover the other $50 per night. Sacred Heart requires a $50.00 non-refundable deposit at the time of registration; individuals are responsible for paying their own deposit (please contact mission@regis.edu if you need assistance with paying the deposit). The Province is offering the subsidy on a first-come, first-served basis. Regis Mission Office has budgeted scholarships for up to 10 employees. The deadline to register is Tuesday, April 29, 2025.

Please email mmcmanus@regis.edu after you have registered so that we can keep track of our numbers. (Sedalia doesn't have a way to know that you are from Regis, so we need to keep a tally on our end, too).
OTHER LOGISTICS:
Sedalia is about 25 miles south of Denver. The earliest you can arrive is 1 p.m. on July 22, and you must depart before noon on July 28. If you are arriving or departing on any other day within the block, there are no time restrictions. Retreatants are responsible for their own transportation to the retreat center. Meals are served at 8 a.m., noon and 5:30 p.m. Catholic Mass (optional) is offered at 11:30 a.m. daily.
