Vice President of Mission Community Announcement

Dear Faculty and Staff,

I write with an update about our national search for our next Vice President of Mission and Ministry. This important leadership position ensures that our Jesuit, Catholic identity continues to animate all aspects of our university – our teaching and learning, our service and outreach, and our commitment to the formation of the whole person.

The Vice President of Mission and Ministry serves as a senior leader and thought partner, providing a strong and visible presence to guiding our efforts to live out the Ignatian tradition in ways that are authentic, inclusive, and responsive to the challenges and opportunities of our time. This role is especially vital as we deepen our commitment to our Jesuit Catholic mission through justice, community engagement, and spiritual reflection across the university.

I am chairing the search committee, joined by the following colleagues: Kate Burns (Library faculty), Paula Colorosa (Presidential Chief of Staff), Dan Justin (Mission), M.D. Kinoti (Regis College faculty), Roger Smith (Advancement), and Jonnia Torres-Carolan (Teaching and Learning Excellence). We are committed to a transparent and inclusive process, and as such I welcome any direct questions, suggestions, and conversations with me – and each member of the search committee is open as well.

We will be posting the job opportunity the week of May 12th and the search process will continue throughout the summer. As the committee narrows the candidates, there will be opportunities for community input. In the meantime, I invite you to reach out with your thoughts, recommendations, and/or questions as we embark on this important search together.

Thank you for all that you do to sustain and strengthen our mission each day.

Jake
