Updated Employee Tuition Benefit Policy
We are happy to share that the University’s Employee Tuition Benefit Policy has been updated and is now available online: Employee Tuition Benefits Policy | Regis University.
We want to highlight two key changes that reflect our ongoing commitment to employee development and policy alignment.
1. Expanded Program Eligibility
Employees are now eligible to receive tuition benefits for both Bachelor’s and Master’s programs after six months of employment. This change shortens the previous waiting period for graduate-level benefits, providing access to educational opportunities that support your personal and professional growth.
2. Updated Dependent Child Eligibility
To ensure compliance with IRS guidelines for non-taxable tuition benefits, eligibility for dependent children has been updated to align with the IRS definition of a dependent. Dependent children must be aged 24 or younger and meet the criteria outlined by the IRS. As definitions can vary based on individual circumstances, we encourage you to review the IRS guidance: Dependents | Internal Revenue Service. Eligibility for spouses and civil union partners remains unchanged.
