Location: From Lot 3 (Student Center) to City Park, Denver

Schedule:

9 a.m. - Regis van departs from Lot 3 (Student Center) to City Park

10:30 a.m. - Marade begins at City Park (E. Colfax Ave. at Columbine)
Route: City Park to Civic Center Park (W. Colfax at Bannock St.), approximately 3 miles

12:15 p.m. - Van departs Civic Center Park, returning to campus by 1 p.m.

Marade History

The first Denver Marade took place on January 20, 1986. The term Marade — coined by State Rep. Wilma Webb — combines march and parade, symbolizing both celebration and continued commitment to confronting injustice through nonviolent action.
