Celebrate the sacred Lenten season at Regis. As we enter the season of Lent, we invite you to join us for prayer, reflection and worship.

 

Ash Wednesday Mass

Noon to 1 p.m., March 5, St. John Francis Regis Chapel

Please join us on Ash Wednesday for Catholic Mass, including the distribution of ashes at noon, to mark the beginning of Lent.

 

Ash Wednesday Ecumenical Christian Prayer Service

4 to 4:30 p.m., March 5, St. John Francis Regis Chapel, with the distribution of ashes.

 

Lenten Evening of Reflection

6 to 8 p.m., March 11, St. John Francis Regis Chapel

The season of Lent offers us an opportunity to rediscover the mercy of God in our lives. Inspired by the spirituality of Saint Ignatius, we will gather for a Lenten evening of prayer co-sponsored by the Regis University Offices of Mission and Ministry and Alumni Engagement. The evening will offer the opportunity to engage in fellowship, pray with movements drawn from the Spiritual Exercises and reflect under the guidance of spiritual directors. A light meal will be offered beginning at 6 p.m., prior to the formal program starting around 6:45 p.m.

Please join us on Fridays during Lent, beginning on March 14, for a guided Stations of the Cross.

 

Lenten Retreat in the workday for Regis faculty and staff

8 to 10 a.m., March 21, St. John Francis Regis Chapel

The season of Lent offers us an opportunity to rediscover the mercy of God in our lives. Inspired by the spirituality of Saint Ignatius,  this Lenten Retreat in the Workday will offer the opportunity to pray with particular movements drawn from the Spiritual Exercises.  Participants will pray with reflections offered by spiritual directors while also engaging in fellowship.  We invite you to gather for coffee and pastries at 8 a.m., with the formal program beginning at 8:30 a.m. This event is Mission Leave eligible.

"Bread in the Wilderness" A Lenten Retreat with Thomas Merton

9 a.m. to noon, March 22, St. John Francis Regis Chapel

 

"The secret of my identity is hidden in the love and mercy of God" ~ Thomas Merton, New Seeds of Contemplation.
Join us for a morning of Lenten reflection and sharing, drawing from the writings of Thomas Merton, Pope Francis and others.

Coffee and pastries will be served. Use entrance 3 or 4 and park in one of the lots near the chapel. Parking is free on the weekends.
