Celebrate Ignatian Mission Day
The entire Regis community is cordially invited to celebrate Ignatian Mission Day in the St. John Francis Regis Chapel on Thursday, Sept. 11. We are hosting several events to mark the beginning of a new academic year together in the Ignatian Tradition:
The Mass of the Holy Spirit is an annual Jesuit tradition, celebrated by Jesuit schools throughout the world to invoke the gifts, power, and grace of the Holy Spirit at the beginning of a new academic year together.
Everyone is warmly welcome to attend, regardless of faith tradition. We look forward to celebrating this day with energy, community and joy!
- Mass of the Holy Spirit: 11 a.m., Regis Chapel
- In-person, traditional undergraduate classes on the Northwest Denver campus will not meet from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., to allow students, faculty and staff to participate. Mass of the Holy Spirit and other Ignatian Mission Day events are mission-leave eligible for staff and faculty.
- Community Picnic to follow at the Fortune Plaza.
- Talk by Chris Pramuk, University Chair of Ignatian Thought and Imagination: 3:30 p.m., Regis Chapel.
- Faculty, please consider including this talk on your course calendar and encouraging students to attend. Title/description forthcoming.
