We will strengthen Regis University's ability to fulfill its Jesuit Catholic mission through aligned leadership, effective governance, transparent decision-making, and a culture of accountability, collaboration, and shared responsibility. By fostering trust, clarity, and institutional effectiveness, we will create the conditions necessary for every strategic priority to succeed.

Embed the 4 Cs into leadership practices, governance processes, and cross-divisional work.

Regis University will be the leading Jesuit Catholic Hispanic-Serving university and a national model for transformative, mission-driven higher education. Distinguished by academic excellence, student success, Ignatian formation, and equitable outcomes, students are prepared to lead meaningful lives, thrive in their professions, and contribute to a more just and humane world. Students experience innovative teaching, experiential learning, vocational discernment, community engagement, and a commitment to student success.

Objective 1: Advance Academic Excellence, Innovation, and Institutional Sustainability and Growth

  • Regis will provide rigorous, relevant, and innovative academic programs that respond to student interests, workforce needs, societal challenges, and the University's mission.
  • Complete a comprehensive academic portfolio review and establish a continuous program vitality and sustainability process.
  • Assess academic programs and launch or redesign at least five academic programs aligned with workforce demand, emerging industries, or community need.
  • Generate a culture of assessment using program-level dashboards tracking enrollment, retention, graduation, and career outcomes.
  • Increase participation in internships, clinicals, undergraduate research, service-learning, and other experiential learning opportunities by 15%.
  • Increase graduate placement reporting rates to 80%.

 

Objective 2: Create a Student Experience that Promotes Success, Belonging, and Career Readiness

Regis will create an integrated student experience that promotes persistence, well-being, engagement, belonging, career readiness, and timely degree completion for all learners.

  • Increase first-year retention by at least one percentage point annually.
  • Implement an institution-wide student success dashboard and predictive analytics model.
  • Reduce DFW rates to <25% for all students (for each class)
  • Increase utilization of advising, tutoring, career services, and student support resources.
  • Implement a fully integrated student success model across Academic Affairs and Student Affairs.
  • Expand transfer pathways, articulation agreements, and adult learner enrollment opportunities.

Objective 3: Distinguish Regis Through Jesuit, Catholic, and Ignatian Formation

Regis will provide a transformative educational experience rooted in Ignatian spirituality, vocational discernment, integral ecology, service, reflection, cultivating a faith that does justice, and care for the whole person.

  • Develop university-wide mission learning outcomes.
  • Integrate Ignatian pedagogy and reflection practices into all academic programs.
  • Increase participation in mission-focused programs, retreats, service-learning, and immersion experiences.
  • Embed vocational discernment and career reflection throughout the student experience. 

Objective 4: Advance institutional servingness as a nationally leading Hispanic-Serving Institution

Servingness is Regis' commitment to intentionally designing every aspect of the university from teaching and advising to policies, partnerships, and student support, to ensure that all students, particularly those historically underserved, have equitable opportunities to belong, succeed, graduate, and lead. Servingness reflects our commitment to transforming the institution, not asking students to adapt to it.

  • Establish institution-wide servingness indicators and annual reporting.
  • Implement annual equity-gap reviews for retention, graduation, career outcomes, and student engagement.
  • Launch targeted success initiatives for first-generation, Pell-eligible, transfer, commuter, and historically underserved students.
  • Establish a coordinated university strategy to advance and communicate Regis' Hispanic-Serving identity.
  • Increase faculty and staff participation in culturally responsive teaching, advising, and leadership development.

Objective 5: Expand Community Impact Through Partnerships and Applied Learning

Regis will deepen partnerships with employers, schools, healthcare organizations, nonprofits, faith communities, and civic organizations to strengthen student learning, workforce development, and societal impact. 

  • Establish new community, employer, educational, and industry partnerships that support experiential learning and workforce preparation.
  • Expand community-based learning opportunities in every college.
  • Increase participation in internships, field placements, and community-engaged projects.
  • Develop new pathways connecting academic programs to workforce and community needs.
