OneRegis FAQ
OneRegis, Sharepoint, Regis.edu, RegisUpdates - what's the difference? Why another site?
Each of these resources serves a unique purpose:
Regis.edu is home to content relevant for our external communities, i.e. prospective students, families, alumni and donors. Keeping the content focused on these audiences improves the site's performance.
Sharepoint is useful as a document storage resource for departments to work together, including coworking in shared documents, hosting frequently-accessed PDFs and more. It also restricts access to people with RegisNET accounts.
OneRegis aims to be a resource in helping departments work within the university. It will provide information needed by people in the Regis community that is not necessarily appropriate for Regis.edu.
- If you know you need to talk to Physical Plant to get a new nameplate for your office but don't know how to submit a work order, OneRegis can help.
- If you need to get your event promoted across campus but don't know how to contact Marcom, OneRegis has that information.
- If you are curious if your volunteer efforts qualify for Mission Leave, OneRegis can help you find the answer.
- Have a scholarship or fellowship available to current students? Host the application on OneRegis.
RegisUpdates.com, which was created as a temporary solution during the cyberattack as both Insite and Regis.edu were unavailable, will be absorbed into OneRegis in the near future. Regisupdates.com will be redirected to one.regis.edu/news. We recommend you update your bookmarks!
Is this similar to InSite (aka Regis Today)?
For those familiar with InSite, which was taken down by the cyberattack in 2019, it is a similar concept. We will provide departments and units with a place to house information relevant to the internal Regis community. Additionally, it will serve as a hub for Regis community updates and announcements.
Is this information available to the public, or do I have to log in to view it?
OneRegis is not password protected, meaning you will not need to log in via RegisNET to access or view any content. While this means that information on OneRegis will be available to the public, the site is not crawled Google and will not appear in public search results, but instead will need to be accessed directly.
I have content I'd like to add to OneRegis. How do I do that?
Great! The first step is to fill out a Web Request form and the Web team will assist you.
Will I be able to add/edit my own content?
Yes and no. You will need to engage the web team in order to create new pages. Once created, if your content is updated regularly and frequently we will be happy to train a designated member of your department to update and maintain it.
Can I search for something on OneRegis?
Yes! Since the launch of OneRegis, the Web Team has worked to add search functionality to the site.
In addition, each department page has its own easy-to-remember URL (also called a vanity URL), which can be helpful in directing users to your content. For example:
- Human Resources: one.regis.edu/HR
- ITS: one.regis.edu/ITS
- Center for Scholarship and Research Engagement: one.regis.edu/CSRE
