Regis University and Adams 14 District partner for CLDE program

This fall, the Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education (CLDE) graduate program welcomed a cohort of teachers from Adams 14. All participants are newer teachers, or new to Colorado, and will work to complete Regis’ CLDE Academic Certificate. This fall, teachers participated in the first course, Foundations for CLD Educators, facilitated by Regis’ Dr. Jenna Martin. In the spring, teachers will continue with Linguistics I: Language Acquisition taught by Kimberley Flores. Finally, in summer 2023, teachers will complete the final two courses, Teaching Strategies for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Educator and Assessment for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education.

The Foundations course took place throughout the semester at Adams City High School. Regis faculty and teachers showed off their excitement for their Regis affiliation. According to Dr. Jenna Martin, “This has been an amazing group of Adams 14 educators. This group’s engagement and focus on multilingual learners is powerful. It has been an honor to work and partner with Adams 14.”
