Web Content Coordinators
Thank You for Keeping Web Content Up to Date!
What is a Web Content Coordinator?
A Web Content Coordinator (WCC) is an individual Regis employee designated as the point of contact for regularly scheduled web content reviews. WCCs collaborate with the Web Team to review all content on webpages on regis.edu and one.regis.edu that falls within their area of expertise and responsibility.
What is a Scheduled Web Content Review?
A Scheduled Web Content Review is a structured and supported check-in to help keep existing web content accurate. It is focused on the accuracy of current information on the site and is designed to support clarity, consistency and shared responsibility.
In order to keep the process streamlined and manageable, a Scheduled Web Content Review may not include edits for site/page structure, layout, style, imagery or individual preferences, and does not include building new pages. These types of requests must be initiated by submitting a separate Web Request Form.
How does a Scheduled Web Content Review work?
- At the mutually agreed-upon time, a member of the Web Team will email the unit's WCC with a list of webpages they are responsible for reviewing.
- The WCC will work with the other members of their unit as necessary to read through all content on those webpages, ensuring that all content is complete and correct.
- If anything needs to be updated, the WCC will request those changes via the Web Request Form.
- When all pages have been reviewed, the WCC will email the Web Team informing them that the review has been completed for the current period.
Who are the WCCs, and who is the WCC for my unit?
WCCs for each unit are designated by unit leadership. Regis employees can view the roster of WCCs on SharePoint.
When is my unit's Scheduled Web Content Review?
Each unit has a review schedule that works best for the rhythm of its work. Please contact your unit's WCC for more information.
Do I have to wait until a Scheduled Web Content Review to make updates to the website?
No! Please continue to submit updates via the Web Request Form whenever changes are needed. The scheduled reviews just ensure that someone has eyes on all content on a yearly basis, at minimum.
Why are WCCs and Scheduled Web Content Reviews necessary?
As the technology landscape evolves, increasing numbers of prospective students, current students, employees, community members and the general public view regis.edu and one.regis.edu as their source of truth about Regis University. Additionally, as more of these users make use of AI answer engines, it is more important than ever that every page on the University's official websites provides current, correct information.
