COVID-19 Vaccine Religious Exemption Update

City and County of Denver Vaccine Mandate – New Order

Effective September 30, 2021, the City and County of Denver are now requiring employees, including those working in higher education, to be vaccinated. Requests for religious exemptions must now include a detailed explanation from the individual as to how specifically getting the COVID-19 vaccination is contraindicated by sincerely held religious beliefs. For this reason, any individual who has previously requested a religious exemption will be required to complete an updated Request for Religious Exemption/Accommodation form. These requests will need to be submitted by Friday, December 3, for further review and consideration.
